As part of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill NCAA Division 1 Sports complex, the Eddie Smith Field House contains over 82,000 square feet of space.  The project created a new indoor track and field facility that doubles as an indoor football practice facility and multi-use sports complex.  The high bay, 200 foot clear span steel structure houses complete track and field facilities including a 200 meter track and sufficient height and space for the John Pope Practice field for the football team.
