Mohegan Sun of Connecticut entered the Pennsylvania gaming market through the purchase of the Pocono Downs Horse Racing Track.  What began with the renovation of the grand stand building continued into a single story high bay steel framed gaming facility of over 400,000 square feet with casino, retail, restaurant and entertainment venues, including a pedestrian bridge from the casino to the racetrack, a grand porte-cochere, a glass walled interior viewing area for live racing and a 60’ tall feature tower.  The complex is designed to accommodate future expansions on two sides of the building and a future bridge to the future parking structures.
