An 18-story, architecturally significant residential building containing approximately 153,000 gross sq. ft. of floor area.
With a small 5,000 sq. ft. footprint, the integrated design team's challenge was to develop an iconic symbol for Drexel University, maintain a lighter feel to the structure and stacking core usages. The solution became a structure with twisting columns, laterally offset at every floor to give the impression of a "spiralling" builidng with a visible lean due to the offset columns. |
