The Gaylord Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, just south of Washington, DC overlooking the Potomac River, is a complex containing over 2.5 million square feet of convention and hotel facilities, including a 2,000-room, 20-story, post tensioned cast-in-place concrete hotel; 87,000 square feet of glass-roofed, glass-walled atrium framed with steel bowstring roof trusses and catenary framed walls; 1 million square feet of convention facilities with 180,000 square feet of exhibit space and a 2,500-car, 5-level precast concrete parking structure containing over 800,000 square feet of floor area.
This project won the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers, Outstanding Project Award.
